About the programme

Our explorers will embark on an extraordinary journey by stepping into the shoes of global procurement managers in an imaginary world of commerce & purchasing. Discover and understand Singapore’s unique food story and how we deal with food sustainability and resilience. Using a series of monopoly-inspired games and activities, our adventurers will be introduced to the world of food procurement, managing supply chain risks and ways to ensure domestic food sustainability.

Unlock the secrets of supply chain management when our adventurers visit the local supermarket and understand how our shelves get stocked. Learn about risk and opportunities management when we partner local merchants to make business deals during an immersive challenge. And be treated with a visit to an Urban Farm to discover the latest innovation & sustainable practices in urban farming and get their hands dirty seeding & harvesting vegetables!

Camp Highlights:

  • Supermarket Sweep: Understand what goes on behind the scenes of the food supply chain management and how Singapore ensures food supplies are well stocked on our supermarket shelves year round. Through simple activities, children get introduced to factors that affect business profits and losses.
  • Deal or No Deal: Take part in an interactive game of risk & opportunity management as the teams visit local businesses to make business deals, learn to overcome challenges like trade restrictions, outbreak of diseases, border closures etc and pit against one another to emerge King of Merchants.
  • Urban Heroes: Learn about sustainable practices and innovative solutions when our adventurers visit an urban farm in Singapore. Be prepared to get their hands dirty as well with some seeding and harvesting fun when we become urban farmers for a day.

What Our Parents Have To Say

My child enjoyed climbing the tree and splashing in mud for the first time. It's a good experience especially if parents are too busy to take their children into the forest themselves :)

Azizah

A whole new experience for my child! At home, she shared on different types of plants & animals with personal and hands on experience. The facilitators had done well in instilling self responsibility to the children. Muhaya had been asking to have more trekking in the future and looking forward to the next exciting and adventurous holiday program by outdoor singapore school!
