About the programme
Learning Outcomes:
- Application of outdoor survival and etiquette
- Ability to understand and spot animals’ homes around us
Learning Focus:
- Outdoor Learning – Homes of the animals (animal’s habitat)
- Outdoor Adventure – Outdoor survival and etiquette
Have you wondered where and how our wildlife eats, sleeps and plays outdoors? What would your child do when they come across wildlife during nature walks? Do you worry about your child’s ability to protect themselves or their safety when they encounter wildlife?
This programme provides opportunities to introduce basic survival skills to our young hikers at two different parks – Windsor Nature Park and Lower Peirce Reservoir.
They will have their senses actively engaged and get to meet the lovely residents of the park, like the macaques, the drongos, and even wild boars, under the watchful eye of trained instructors. This outdoor nature programme guarantees our young hikers new experiences and opportunities to challenge their limits and develop an “I Can Do IT (even with my tiny feet)”-spirit.
